Koi Symbolism

One of my client in Singapore was asking me to create an art for his own personal space (it’s one of my after service). He’s really into Koi, and he’ll love the idea of a digital art.

Koi is a common interesting symbol both in Chinese culture and Feng Shui.

I dig loads of information about Koi and felt in love with its story.

Koi is a symbol of powerful and energetic life force, as they’re able to swim upstream.

In Chinese legend of the Dragon Gate, in which a Koi swam upstream through many obstacles to reach the top of the mountain. Legend says that once the Koi passes the Dragon Gate, it became a dragon, one of the most auspicious creatures in Chinese culture.

Koi also has a strong relation to Yin Yang symbol with its signature pairing Koi symbol, often used as good luck and harmony symbol for a happy marriage.

Koi has various coloring symbolism that symbolize many different aspects in life (good one) such as: Good fortune, Success, Prosperity, Longevity, Courage, Ambition, Perseverance, Life-changing, Love, and Harmony.
