The Little Prince Exhibition

We went to Philatelic Museum earlier today to catch The Little Prince exhibition.

I read this book many years ago, never stop loving it! And now it’s one of Max’s “modern-classical-books-to-read” list.

The Little Prince is one of the most-translated books in the world (300 languages the last time I checked) and has been voted the best book of the 20th century in France.

It’s about the importance of looking beneath the surface to find the real truth and meaning of a thing, to see with our heart instead of just with our eyes, in which most adults have difficulty doing.

It’s about spiritual adventures, curiosity, existence, ever-growing love, mystery of the heavens, the immensity of the universe, and loneliness.

It’s more than a book, is a magical book about the importance of friendship and the quest for the truth. Really a must-read at any age!!

The exhibition features a glow-in-the-dark exhibition, which apparently was Max’s favorite for some reason that is:

Max: I love this exhibit, this is the best day of my life!!

Me: Really?!?! (Super excited to know that he felt the same as I do)

Max: Yes! Do you wanna know why?

Me: Why? (I meant, do u really need a reason to love this, seriously?)

Max: Because I just found out that I have a glow-in-the-dark shoes!!!

Me: 😆 (daaangggg!!)

It showed that we (an adult and a child) are excited together over the same thing for 2 very different reasons. It doesn’t matter which reason is more important, as long as we share the same level of excitement together 😊

“What is essential is invisible to the eye”

(Or shall I say: “what is essential is finally visible to the eye in the glow-in-the-dark room” 😆)

Here I captured few of our favourite stamps from all over the place such as:

– The Nyonya embroidered stamp

– The gold foil stamp

– The scented stamp (specifically the chocolate one!)

– The dog series stamp

– The American stamp
